The experience

Explore the African Soul of Salvador

Walk through Salvador with a private specialist guide and uncover the African histories embedded within its streets, churches, music and everyday life. The journey addresses both the painful legacy of the transatlantic slave trade and the resilience of the people who transformed the city’s cultural identity.

Depending on opening hours and your interests, the route may connect Pelourinho with museums, Black brotherhood churches, cultural institutions and places associated with Afro-Bahian resistance and creativity. Your guide provides thoughtful context on Candomblé, capoeira, cuisine and music while respecting the communities and sacred traditions from which they emerge.
